As much as Pixar’s Turning Red is called a mother-daughter story it’s equally about sharing a true tale of friendship. Turning Red Friend Group is very popular in school. Meilin Lee, the girl who sometimes turns into a red panda, has three best friends who always have her back with the help of Aunties.

Turning Red Friend Group is FRIENDS FOREVER – In Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Turning Red,” 13-year-old Mei Lee, a confident-but-dorky teenager with a tight-knit group of friends who are passionate about a boy band called 4-Town.
Meilin Lee voiced by Rosalie Change
Meilin is a 13-year-old Chinese Canadian who’s confident, ambitious, and she’s a little dorky and a bit of an overachiever. But she puts so much value in her friendships and her relationship with her mom. And in this movie, she goes through these huge changes and she’s dealing with this. But at the same time, she has all these things in her life, but she doesn’t want to lose herself as well.

Miriam voiced by Ava Morse
Miriam is the best friend that you could ever want. She’s funny, she’s always there for you. She’s a party animal and she just always knows how to cheer you up when you’re down.
Animators showed off Miriam’s braces as much as possible while giving her a yellow and green color palette.

Priya voiced by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan
Priya is pretty sarcastic, dry, very deadpan. But you know what? She’s really cool. I think she’s one cool cat. And, yeah, she’s always down to clown, but always with a cool attitude.
Priya was given ochre as her signature color, and the artists never raised Priya’s eyelids all the way to give her a calm and cool look.

Abby voiced by Hyein Park
Abby’s like this little ball of energy, and very loving – very passionate, but comes up a little too explosive at some times. I would say she loves her friends so much, especially when they’re fluffy.
Animators gave Abby a lavender color palette and “angry eyebrows” even when she’s happy to underscore her quirky yet intense personality.

“Turning Red” is a new Disney and Pixar film that gets released on Disney+ on March 11. Turning Retells tells the story of Mei, a fictional 13-year-old girl who suddenly begins to transform into a red panda whenever she’s excited or stressed.
This film is coming out of many controversies. Mei and all of her friends are obsessed with 4 Town and, naturally, viewers all around the world are too.
