The post-apocalyptic series Snowpiercer is about to reach its destination. Season four is will be its final season. Fans of the dystopian thriller Snowpiercer must be upset to know that the series will not be returning with more seasons.
The spokesperson of the TNT network said in a statement to Deadline “Its talented writers, actors, and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre, and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”
The series is based on the 2013 movie of the same title. The series was premiered in 2020 and the fourth season is in production no official release date for the season is announced yet.
The series follows a group of the people that are the last humans on the earth remain alive after an apocalyptic event that causes the world to freeze over.
These humans stay alive as they lived in a big moving train that never stops.
After the major events of season three, the cancelation of the show is quite surprising for its fans.
Alongside Snowpiercer, TNT’s Animal Kingdom will also end with its final sixth season premiering on June 19.
