1939 musical, The Wizard of Oz is one of the films that almost everyone has seen. This is the film that everyone should watch once in a lifetime because this one is a masterpiece. The film star Judy Garland stays in her fan’s hearts for over eighty years for this film. In honor of Judy Garland’s 100th Birthday Warner Bros. and Fathom Events taking back The Wizard of O to the theaters this June.

The film will be in the theaters for two days only on June 5 and 6 in 800 theaters nationwide. And it will be shown at a fixed time on both the days it will show at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Film The Wizard of Oz was directed by Victor Fleming and was based on the classic children’s book by L. Frank Baum. It was one of the first colored films. Besides this, the film is memorable for many things such as ruby slippers, the Yellow Brick Road, and its iconic soundtrack.

During the time of its release on August 15, 1939, Garland was the hottest actress in Hollywood at that time.

The film won  Oscar for Outstanding Juvenile Performance. This was the film with top nominations with five for Best Picture, and Wizard of Oz won two other Oscars, Best Song for “Over the Rainbow” and Best Original Score. ( Judy Garland: Wiki)
