The MA-17 rating would be MUCH more appropriate, as the film version deals with homosexuality and bisexuality in both teens and adults. Free use of “F**K by teens accompanies other profanity and vulgar expressions. Parents accept underage drinking, pot and tobacco smoking and teenage sex with no consequences. In short, the film normalizes all kinds of behavior for teens 15 and 16 that many parents would find inappropriate. In my opinion, the series deserves an “R” rating.
