The Meeting To Address Will Smith Slap Sanction After Oscar Incident Is Rescheduled From April 18 To April 8 By Movie Academy

On Wednesday, Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Academy said that they are rescheduling the date of the annual meeting. This meeting was initially scheduled for April 18 but now it will be held on April 8th.

It is rescheduled so that they could address possible sanctions for Will Smith more quickly. Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock on the stage of the Oscar Academy Awards after Chris made a joke about Will’s wife’s shaved head.

Previously, April 18 was decided in accordance with California Law. However, it is now has been rescheduled keeping the mind current scenario in mind. Talking about the annual meeting more, the authority said that their agenda includes the possible suspension of Will Smith from Oscar membership.
