In the trailer, we see the movie taking place on the island of Berk. The son of a Viking chief Stoic, Hiccup desperately wants to follow his father’s legacy and fight the dragons and keep their village safe. Stoic expects Hiccup to kill a dragon while his father is away to find the nest of the dragons, he allows Hiccup to start training to kill dragons.

 But as he grows up he finally hits a dragon and finds it crash-landed in the forest, and is unable to bring himself to kill it, Hiccup soon realizes that the dragons aren’t at all what the Vikings have always believed them to be that they are dangerous.
