Trevor Strnad, singer of The Black Dahlia Murder dies at 41

Trevor Strnad was a lead singer of the death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder, who has died. He was 41-years-old.

On Wednesday the band announced the news of Strnad’s death in an Instagram post from their official account.

The post on Instagram “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad, Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him. A walking encyclopedia of all things music.”

The members of the band  call Strnad ‘a walking encyclopedia of all things music.’ The cause of death is unclear. The band concluded the post with the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

In 2002, the Black Dahlia Murder was formed in Waterford, Michigan, by Trevor Strnad, guitarists Brian Eschbach and Jon Kemppainen, bassist David Lock and drummer Cory Grady, when they released “A Cold-Blooded Epitaph” EP.

The band went on to open for fellow death metal band Children of Bodom “on festival stages across the United States and Europe” following the success of their fourth album “Deflorate” in 2009.

Strnad’s last album “Verminous,” was released in April 2020.

The Instagram post further added “He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers, “His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.” (Source- Google)
