Synopsis

Set in 1955, the film follows the journey of five young Mexican-American caddies with a shared dream of playing golf.

Despite facing racial prejudice and lacking resources, they embark on the ambitious task of constructing their own golf course in the harsh South Texas desert.

With outdated and inferior equipment, they overcome numerous obstacles.

Their hard work led them to compete against well-funded, predominantly white teams in the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship, defying the odds stacked against them.
