Two months before HBO released the official trailer for House of the Dragon, which was enough to bring the craze among the fans of the Game Of Thrones film series. The launch of HBO House of the Dragon earned the launch on nearly $200 million for the Game of Thrones spinoff series.

HBO House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin’s series “Fire & Blood.” And tells the story of the events of GOT, 200 years before battling for seven kingdoms, and the story of House Targaryen.

It’s a prequel series consisting of 10 episodes. It will also document the lives of Daenerys Targaryen’s incestuous relatives. HBO House of the Dragon cost under $20 million per episode to produce and Its marketing campaign is valued at over $100 million spends which is the biggest campaign ever for HBO.

Pia Barlow, EVP of HBO Originals Marketing, said “The House of the Dragon campaign is really about generating big, broad awareness and interest throughout the summer, but to also make sure we’re signaling to exist fans as well as new fans alike that this is a new Game of Thrones story coming to HBO Max,”

President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav pointed out that the HBO House of the Dragon series campaign has “reached nearly 130 million people in the US alone.

It stars Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.

When will the HBO House of the Dragon come out and where?

The landing went beneficial for the streaming platforms like Disney+ Hotstar(India), and HBO & HBO Max itself. HBO’s House of the Dragon is not on Netflix. The first episode of House of the Dragon will debut on HBO and HBO Max on August 21, 2022, and on Disney on August 22, 2022, via Disney + Hotstar
