Due to Bill Murry inappropriate behavior Being Mortal Production suspended
The production was suspended on the Searchlight film Being Mortal. The suspension is related to a complaint made against star Bill Murray for his inappropriate behavior.
Bill Murray’s involvement in the project is going forward as the investigation remains active. Aziz Ansari is starring, writing, and making his directorial debut on the film with his partner Youree Henley but was not a part of the complaint
‘Being Mortal’ Production has been Suspended
The complaint against Bill Murray was filed last week. The production was stopped on Monday, and a decision was made to suspend production going forward as the investigation continues and the next steps are decided on.
The cast and crew were told about the production being suspended last night in a letter sent out by the studio. The film is based on Atul Gawande’s nonfiction book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End.
The plan was to release the film in 2023. It is unknown at this time if the suspension will affect the release or not. (Source- Google)
