Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) Action/Fantasy film director “David F. Sandberg” blames Avatar 2 for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film’s latest delay.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods was initially set to release on December 21, 2022, and is now moved to March 17, 2023.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is another DCEU project which was set to release with Shazam! Fury of the Gods has also been moved further as per reports.
Avatar 2 Reason For DCEU Films Delay
David F. Sandberg tweeted that he is an impatient b*stard since Avatar was taking all IMAX/PLF screens and because of that Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set back to 2023.
The sequel to Avatar also known as Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Sci-fi/Action movie has been one of the most highly anticipated films for the last decade since it was announced.
David F. Sandberg also wrote in the tweet that “Fury of the Gods is a big movie & should be seen big!”.
DCEU has put back Aquaman 2 to 25 December 2023 and the “Batgirl” is almost complete and is entirely pulled from release schedules. Black Adam another DCEU project was released on 21 October 2022 and The Flash is put back in 2023.
