Avatar: The Way of Water also named James Cameron’s Avatar 2 is an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It is the second film in Cameron’s Avatar franchise that follows the 2009 film Avatar. 

The Way of Water promises everything we loved about the original film, plus everything we could hope for in a sequel. The Na’vi will return to protect their planet once more.

“Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Avatar: The Way of Water Release Date

Avatar: The Way of Water is planned to be released on December 16, 2022, with the following three sequels to be released, respectively, on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028.

Three consecutive dates have been set for the release of this film, December 14, December 15, and December 16. In the United States, it is being released on December 16.

What does “Avatar: The Way of Water” is it about?

James Cameron finally returns with the sequel to his brilliant film Avatar from 2009. “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Jake Sully lives with his newfound family formed on the planet of Pandora. Once a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Navi race to protect their planet.

MPA: Avatar: The Way of Water is rated PG-13 for sequences of strong violence and intense action, partial nudity, and some strong language. 

Movies that are labeled PG-13 are not considered suitable for children under the age of thirteen, but parents can decide whether or not to allow their children to see the movies. PG is an abbreviation for `parental guidance’ which means “parents strongly cautioned”: it indicates that parents may find some content of the film unsuitable for children under thirteen.

  • Strange-looking people who seem to be from a different world are a bit strange to see, they are seen riding huge flying creatures.
  • There are some apocalyptic scenes at the end of the entire movie, including a battle between humans and the Navi.
  • Here is the conspiracy by humans against Navi.
  • A female humanoid is shown completely naked and a man is said to have a Pan!s face.
  • use of weapons is included here like guns, knives, bows and arrows, and spears with bloody detail being minimal.

Avatar: The Way of Water Trailer Explained

The trailer shows us Jake Sully’s new family amongst the Navi and shows their connection to nature which makes the family whole.

Avatar: The Way of Water Trailer opens with soothing tribal music and there were two Na’vi jumping into a coral reef and they are surrounded by all kinds of life, and different types of fish there is the underwater world.

These Na’vi might be Jake and Neytiri’s children. It is well understood that this time they are starting a family, in the next shit of the trailer we see Neytiri touching her pregnant belly.

The trailer further shows, Jake and Neytiri’s daughter communing with the life of Pandora. All this is surrounded by a deep spiritual connection to water. Na’vi, explore the oceans of Pandora and watch Jake take Bob for a ride again.
