Pride and Prejudice Summary

The book is focused on the marriage prospects of the five single daughters of Bennet, Longbourne is somewhat dubious, as their father, although a gentleman, has no male heir and his estate is “entitled” to his next male relative.

Therefore, Mrs. Bennet who is the father of 5 daughters wants to find rich husbands for her daughters. When the Bennets are introduced to a new neighbor, who is a wealthy Mr. Bingley, and his proud friend Mr. Darcy, the first impressions are some difficult feelings as well as romantic feelings which spark in Darcy.

Bingley gets involved with the girls, on the other hand, Darcy disappoints the Bennets and his friends. However, first impressions are not always what they seem, and the Bennet girls, especially Elizabeth and Jane, learn where pride and confidence are appropriate, and where not, as the romantic story unfolds.
