World's best restaurants for 2022

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants were announced at an awards ceremony held in London on Monday night, hosted by Stanley Tucci.

Geranium (Copenhagen, Denmark) 

Geranium has been named the best on the planet at the World's 50 Best Restaurants awards for the second year in a row.

Central (Lima, Peru)  

South American restaurants also fared well. In Lima, chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León's Central climbed two places to the second spot.

Disfrutar (Barcelona, Spain) 

Barcelona's Disfrutar was at No. 3. Their Tasting menu is composed of creations that have become "classics" of the house.

Diverxo (Madrid, Spain) 

Madrid's Diverxo shot up to the fourth place. A tasting menu is composed of creations that have become "classics" of the house.

Pujol (Mexico City, Mexico)

Olvera's cuisine is always transforming, drawing ideas from here and there that it reinterprets and also evolves.

Asador Etxebarri (Axpe, Spain) 

Larrabetzu's Asador Etxebarri, where all dishes, even dessert, are flame-grilled, slipped down to No. 6.

A Casa do Porco (São Paulo, Brazil) 

Brazil's A Caso do Porco a celebration of all things porcine climbed 10 places to No.7.

Lido 84 (Gardone Riviera, Italy)

Quintonil (Mexico City, Mexico) 

Quintonil climbed all the way from last year's No.27 to land in the No. 9 spot. Mexico City was represented by fifth-place winner Pujol.

Le Calandre (Rubano, Italy) 

Lightness, depth of flavor, and fluidity make up the foundation of Max's cuisine Le Calandre secured tenth position in the World's best restaurants 2022 awards.
