Willow Smith Defends Dad Will Smith for Chris Rock Oscar incident
Will smith's daughter Willow Smith opened her mouth to defend her dad for so long.
On March 28, Will smith slapped Chris Rock on the live stage of Oscar as he made fun of Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett for her shaved head.
Even after months, the outrage in media and public of this incident hasn't cooled down yet, which made Willow Smith speak up about it.
At the top of August, in an interview, Willow spoke with Billboard. “I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness," she said.
"Our humanness sometimes isn’t accepted, and we’re expected to act in a way that isn’t conducive to a healthy human life and isn’t conducive to being honest,” -Willow Smith further added.
After the dramatic incident on the OSCAR stage, Smith deeply apologized to Chris and the Academy. He also posted an apology on his Instagram the next day.
On 29, July 2022, Will Smith posted a 5 min. and 44s long video on his youtube channel and Instagram captioning "It's been a minute..."
In the video, he apologized again. "My behavior was unacceptable and I am here whenever you are ready to talk," Will said.
On Red Table Talk, June 1, Jada Pinkett said, “Now about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.”
"Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that keeps figuring out this thing called life together,” Jada said.
