Thomas Stanley Holland is an English actor born on 1 June 1996 in Kingston in southwest London to photographer Nicola and Dominic Holland, a comedian, and author.
Tom made his debut with the disaster drama The Impossible (2012) in which he played the role of a teenage tourist trapped in a tsunami.
He received a London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year of this role. His career started when he was enrolled in a dancing class at the age of 9.
Here, he was noticed by a choreographer who later arranged for him to audition for a role in Billy Elliot the Musical at London's Victoria Palace Theatre.
