Canadian rock guitarist Gord Lewis was found dead in his Hamilton, Ontario home on Sunday. Police said they know the identity of the deceased.
Gord’s death was confirmed by the band on Monday, who shared a touching post on Instagram as his bandmates paid tribute.
Ontario’s chief coroner has confirmed Gord Lewis was the victim of a homicide in Hamilton’s city center last weekend.
Cause of Death suspected son
Forensic Pathology Services says the post-mortem exam on Hamilton’s third homicide is complete and found Lewis was a victim.
The cause of his death was not revealed due to the ongoing investigation by Hamilton Police. But concluded him as a victim.
Det. Sgt. Sarah Beck said the victim was consistent with foul play but can't tell allegedly assault and also body had been decomposing for “several days”
Jonathan (son of Gord Lewis) the prime suspect of the murder is 41 years old and has been charged with 2nd-degree murder.
Police say the accused was a resident at the apartment suite owned by the deceased and police found Lewis on Sunday night at the apartment.
“We are heartbroken and still trying to process the loss of our friend, bandmate, and brother Gord Lewis,” tweeted bandmates.
