The American professional wrestling promotion based in Jacksonville, Florida "The Ring of Honor" is returning.
On October 27, 2021, Ring of Honor announced that it would go on a break after Final Battle in December, with a return falteringly scheduled for April 2022.
Now, Ring Of Honor is scheduled to return to pay-per-view in July, with the Death Before Dishonor named slated for Massachusetts.
All would be released from their contracts as per plans to "reimagine" the company as a "fan-focused product".
In the interim, the men's and woman's championships were defended at events held by various other promotions, including Impact Wrestling and Jonathan Gresham's new Terminus promotion.
The latest Death Before Dishonor, held on 12 September 2021, saw Rok-C crowned the first ROH Women’s World Champion.
Josh Woods also claimed the ROH Pure Championship, while Alex Zayne made just his third appearance since being let go from WWE.
Ring Of Honor is still without a television deal, though Tony Khan has continued to sign talent to All Elite Wrestling with the intent of using them specifically for ROH.
In May 2022, ROH was sold to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) founder, co-owner, president, and CEO Tony Khan separately from AEW.
