Queen Elizabeth II In Official Platinum Jubilee Portrait

Queen Elizabeth II has released a new official portrait for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The specially commissioned photograph was out on June 1 with Queen Elizabeth II sitting on a bench below a window.

Queen Elizabeth II wore a light blue wool coat and skirt set and the photo was clicked in Windsor Castle’s Victoria Vestibule.

The dress she wore is designed by Angela Kelly, and had embroidered white embellishments lining the opening of the jacket and the neckline.

Queen Elizabeth II accessorized the dress with two pearl necklaces and her engagement ring also from her late husband, Prince Philip.

The portrait was also out with a personal note from the queen written on it personally from Queen Elizabeth II  

“Thank you to everyone who has been involved in convening communities, families, neighbors, and friends to mark my Platinum Jubilee, in the United Kingdom and across the Commonwealth." she wrote.

I continue to be inspired by the goodwill shown to me, and hope that the coming days will provide an opportunity" she added

"I know that many happy memories will be created at these festive occasions,” this was a sweet note from the Queen
