Durk Derrick Banks a.k.a Lil Durk is an American rapper and singer from Chicago, Illinois. He was born on October 19, 1992 (age 29) in Chicago, U.S.
Lil Durk is the founder and lead member of the collective and record label Only the Family (OTF). He got immense popularity after his Signed to the Streets mixtape series.
Durk is believed to be grown up with a lot of responsibility at home as his dad was imprisoned when he was just seven months old. He recalls the time when he did not have money for food.
He started taking his career more seriously after becoming a father at the age of 17. He left her school at Paul Robeson High School to join a street gang named 'Black Disciples' in Chicago.
However, the journey has never been easy for him. Soon after joining, Durk started to get into problems with the law and was confined in October 2011 because of gun charges.
Lil Durk's big break is believed to come in the year 2022 after his work with Drake and getting featured on Drake's single, Laugh Now Cry Later.
