Magnum, P.I.star Roger E. Mosley dies after a car crash

Famous actor Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role as the helicopter pilot in show "Magnum, P.I. dies at 83.

Her daughter confirmed the demise of her father last week after a car accident.                                                  

Mosley died surrounded by family after being injured in a car crash last week that had left him paralyzed from the shoulders down and in critical condition.

Mosely starred in about more than 150 episodes of "Magnum, P.I." with Tom Selleck which aired 8 seasons.

Apart from this he also played the role of Coach Ricketts in the 1990s sitcom "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper."

He was also the part of "Sanford and Son," "Love Boat," "Kojak," "The Rockford Files," "Starsky and Hutch" and dozens of other TV series.

"We could never mourn such an amazing man. He would HATE any crying done in his name. It is time to celebrate the legacy he left for us all," his daughter said as she announced his death.

"I love you daddy. You loved me too. I will take care of mumma, your love of almost 60 years. Rest easy." she later said.

He also played one of the main roles in the 1979 TV film “The Jericho Mile,” which was the feature debut of Michael Mann.
