In the year 1999, Jordon was found guilty of fraud and crimes related to stock-market manipulation and running a boiler room as part of a penny-stock scam.

As a part of an agreement under which he gave testimony against a number of his partners and teammates in his fraud scheme, Jordon spent 22 months in prison.

In the year 2007, Jordon released a memoir named The Wolf of Wall Street. Later, it was adopted into a film having the same name released which was released in 2013.

Jordon was born to a Jewish couple Max and Leah. His both parents were accountants. He spent most of his childhood in Bayside, Queens.

After completing his school and before starting college, Jordon along with his close friend Elliot Loewenstern made $20,000 from selling Italian ice.
