According to some fans Jake Gyllenhaal shouldn't be cast in the movie, they might want Patrick Swayze back and some are totally against of the remake.

“Road House is a homerun for us, Jennifer Salke said." We are thrilled to collaborate with Joel, Doug, and this great cast led by Jake Gyllenhaal."

Seems like Amazon Studio head Jennifer Salke wants to put the thrill of the classic MGM film again to the audience.

The movie was directed by Doug Liman, produced by Joel Silver and the screenplay has written by  Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry.

Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, BK Cannon, Arturo Castro, D. Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery were also cast in the movie.

According to the official synopsis, the UFC fighter takes a job as a bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys and discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise.

Doug Liman said, “I’m thrilled to put my own spin on the beloved Road House legacy.  And I can’t wait to show audiences what Jake and I are going to do with this iconic role.”

Joel Silver shared his thoughts, he said “The original Road House has a special place in my heart and I am so excited to bring this newly imagined version to audiences around the world."
