'House Of The Dragon': Women Who Shaped The Targaryen Dynasty

'House of the Dragon' prequel to the famous series Game of Thrones that took place some 200 years before the original show.

In earlier series GOT fans were introduced to Mother of Dragons as Daenerys (Emilia Clarke)the last bloodline of the Targaryen dynasty is going to regain glory in HOTD.

Westeros was ruled by the Targaryen for  300 years. While in HOTD we are in the middle of George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood which tells the history of the Targaryen kings.

In Martin’s direction, female characters are always important but his stories are full of sexual violence, terror, and pain for females as seen in Game of Thrones.

Alcock before the premiere of House of the Dragon said that female of this era has to deal with sexism and misogyny.

House of the Dragon premieres on August 21, 2022, on HBO. The first season will consist of 10 episodes.

George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal serve as co-creators while Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan are showrunners.
