HBO Max removes around 200 ‘Sesame Street’ episodes

 HBO Max has recently acquired or owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and now HBO Max removed about 200 episodes of “Sesame Street”.

There were a total of 650 episodes available on HBO Max but one could stream only 456 “Sesame Street” episodes which was listed on Friday.

Sesame Street's second, third, and sixth seasons were deducted, it only showcases episodes from seasons 1, 5 and 7, as well as the recent seasons 39-52.

A spokesperson of HBO Max, shared a statement with Fox News Digital on Saturday for the deduction in episodes of “Sesame Street.”

“‘Sesame Street’ is and has always been an important part of television culture and a crown jewel of our preschool offering,” they said in the start.

They said that they will continue ‘Sesame Street’ into families’ homes, including the newest season and the nearly 400 episodes of the most current and historic seasons that remain on Cartoonito

They also agreed through the outlet that the upcoming 53rd season will be available on the streaming service HBO Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery shared a statement that the removal of the shows comes with the new pending contract with Discovery+. 

“As we work toward bringing our content catalogs together under one platform, we will be making changes to the content offering available on both HBO Max and Discovery+" they said.
