Eddie Murphy a top-class stand-up comedian, a star of the big screen, and the voice of everyone’s favorite animated equine, has done it all.
He started Stand-Up at a very young age. He tried out his stand-up routines on other students when he was attending Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School in Roosevelt, New York.
According to Eddie, it was Richard Pryor's comedy album, 1974 that inspired him to pursue comedy. His comedy career started on July 9, 1976, when he performed in a talent show.
He never had a very good childhood. His parents Charles and Lillian separated when Eddie and his older brother were very young. They lived in a Foster care for a year.
He is placed No. 10 on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time, and No. 25 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time.

“When I was young, I didn’t think comedy was a job. Then I saw Eddie Murphy on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and it changed everything,” said Chris while talking about Eddie.

Eddie purchased a 15-acre private island in the Bahamas called Rooster Cay. Ge bought this island in 2007 and paid $15 million for it.
