Cowboys RB Marion Barber Dies at 38

Marion Sylvester Barber III was an American football running back who played in the National Football League for seven seasons. 

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber was found dead in his apartment by Frisco police on Wednesday.

According to a source, police responded to a welfare check at Barber’s apartment because someone had called about a water leak coming from his apartment. Police forced their way in.

The Cowboys released an official statement Wednesday evening: “We are heartbroken by the tragic death of Marion Barber III."

"Our hearts go out to Marion’s family and friends during this difficult time.” The Cowboys  added

Cowboys RB Marion Barber played seven years in the NFL, including six for the Cowboys, between 2005 and 2011.

Cowboys RB Marion Barber  finished his career with 4,780 rushing yards and 53 rushing touchdowns.

The cause of death is currently unknown. Police describe till now as per the investigation describe as an unattended death.

He was the older brother of former Houston Texans safety Dominique Barber and Minnesota Golden Gophers linebacker Thomas Barber.
