Boxing champ Kali Reis to join 'True Detective' Season 4
Reis will play the detective Evangeline Navarro along with Foster’s detective Liz Danvers in investigating the disappearance of six men in Ennis, Alaska.
Kali Reis has just finished shooting ‘Black Flies’ The WBA and WBO junior welterweight champion will be one of the leads in Season 4 of HBO’s True Detective.
The 35-year-old actress is going to be seen in the HBO’S Emmy-nominated crime-thriller anthology series ‘True Detective’ Season 4.
Season 4 of the crime-thriller anthology series has been titled as ‘True Detective: Night Country’. It is going to be filmed in Iceland.

To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunting truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
Reis made her acting debut in an independent film entitled Catch the Fair One. Kali Reis is a professional boxing champion and human rights advocate. Now the boxer is making her way to the big screen.
In the film, Reis was nominated for the best female lead at the Independent Spirit Awards while winning the audience award at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Reis is the world’s first indigenous American boxing female champion. She made her television debut on HBO in 2018 with the network’s 'HBO Boxing’ franchise
