Andrew Christian Wiggins is a Canadian professional basketball player born on 23, 1995, in Toronto, Ontario, and brought up in the nearby Vaughan portion of Thornhill, Ontario.

Andrew plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. In the 2014 NBA draft, he was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Before Cleveland Cavaliers, Andrew used to play college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. He is the second Canadian to be selected No. 1 overall in the NBA draft.

Andrew started playing organized basketball when he was nine, joining an under-10 team in Toronto. At that time, his height was 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m).

Andrew attended Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan for his first two years of high school. He led the school's AAAA basketball team to a 44–1 record in 2010-11.

He scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the championship game. Later, in  2011 he admitted to to Huntington Prep School in Huntington, West Virginia.

His average was 24.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game during his junior season & as a senior, his average is 23.4 points, and 11.2 rebounds, per game.
