With his film “Black Adam,” Dwayne Johnson has long promised that “the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”Will anything be altered now that it has finally hit theaters?
Certainly, the scene after the credits suggests so. For a very long time, fans wanted Johnson’s supervillain to fight another all-powerful DC hero: Superman played by Henry Cavill.

Johnson had even teased the battle on the red carpet of the world premiere of “Black Adam” and at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Johnson and the “Black Adam” crew paid attention to the fans’ request, much to their delight.

In the scene after the credits, Cavill’s Superman does appear, and it appears that he and Black Adam are at odds. But first, the scene begins with Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis, who has flown the Suicide Squad in two films and sent a drone over to speak with Black Adam. After Black Adam escaped from her underwater prison, which was run by Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) in a fun cameo, Waller isn’t happy with him.

Black Adam is told by Waller that he has her attention and that she will let him go free as long as he does not leave Kahndaq, his home country. Waller responds, “There’s nobody on this planet who can stop me,” when Black Adam smirks and says, “There’s nobody on this planet who can stop me.”The final son of Krypton, Superman, does indeed descend from above in a dust cloud. The Man of Steel tells Black Adam, “We should talk,” as he emerges from the smoke. The movie then cuts to black.

Does this imply that a fight between Superman and Black Adam will occur in a subsequent installment? It’s not clear, as it is with most things in the DC Universe right now. While many of DC’s upcoming films, such as “Shazam: Fury of the Gods,” “The Flash,” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” all take place in the same cinematic universe, these films are largely unrelated to one another, and it seems unlikely that either Cavill or Johnson will make another appearance in any of them. There have been unconfirmed reports that there will be a second Superman movie starring Henry Cavill, but nothing has been said or approved.

Hiram Garcia, the producer of “Black Adam,” has stated that a Superman battle would not be a one-off film. He recently stated to CinemaBlend, “It has never been about a one-time event or just a fight.”No, there is so much more to it than that.

We really want to write a long story that shows that these two characters are in the same universe and will often have to deal with each other, either on the same side or on the other. They should probably fight at some point, but this isn’t just a “one fight” situation. That was never a goal of ours. That does not give the fans a reward. Fans want to feel like they are traveling together, knowing that they are in the same universe.

Beyond Superman, there are a few more Easter Eggs in “Black Adam.”Hawkman (played by Aldis Hodge), Doctor Fate (played by Pierce Brosnan), Atom Smasher (played by Noah Centineo), and Cyclone (played by Quintessa Swindell) all make their big-screen debuts, with some comic-book references.

According to Atom Smasher, his suit enables him to alter the structure of his atoms and grow to enormous proportions. He gets a FaceTime call from his uncle Al Pratt as we meet him for the first time. Al Pratt was the older Atom in DC Comics and gave him his suit. Henry Winkler, the Fonz himself, appears as Pratt in a hilarious cameo.

The Justice Society’s leader, Hawkman, wears a comic-book-like costume that includes wings and a hawk helmet. He mentions that the precious alloy from the planet Thanagar called Nth, which is also used in his mace, is used in the construction of his spaceship.

Cyclone is the granddaughter of Abigail Mathilda “Ma” Hunkel, the first superhero to go by the name Red Tornado, in the comics. Cyclone was kidnapped as a child by the mad scientist T.O. Morrow, who also made an android named Red Tornado. He injected her with nanobytes, which give her her elemental powers. Atom Smasher is shocked by Cyclone’s brief mention of her past, particularly the nanobytes, in “Black Adam.”

Doctor Fate fights Marwan Kenzari’s villain Ishmael, who transforms into the demon Sabbac, despite his tragic death. His voice is deeper and more ethereal when Doctor Fate uses his magical abilities and dons his gold helmet. This could be because the Doctor Fate helmet holder receives mystical abilities from an ancient cosmic being named Nabu. Since Brosnan’s Doctor Fate has passed away, it’s possible that someone else, like the current DC character Khalid Nassour, will take over the role.

From the beginning, Dwayne Johnson‘s Black Adam was determined to alter the DC Universe’s power structure. In the event that Henry Cavill is unable to reprise his role, cinematographer Lawrence Sher revealed in a recent interview that the film was prepared to proceed with a faceless Superman cameo for its scene after the credits.

Johnson’s Black Adam is exactly what the DCEU needs, despite the fact that it is not doing well critically and is making more than its fair share of the money. As the shared universe has been going through a lot of behind-the-scenes issues lately, Johnson has been insistent that Black Adam be a linchpin in the DCEU going forward. Johnson’s plan for the character is to be a stabilizing force around which the DCEU can unite.

The audience was pleased with the Black Adam post-credits scene that was leaked prior to the movie’s release. Cavill’s potential return, which had been in doubt for some time, received positive feedback from fans. Since Zack Snyder’s Justice League, audiences have not seen Cavill reprise the role. Since then, a lot of rumors have circulated regarding Cavill’s future involvement in the DC Universe.

However, it appears that Cavill’s appearance in the Black Adam cameo set the stage for Cavill to become Superman for many years to come. Man of Steel 2 is being made, and Johnson has said that he wants to make a movie about Superman versus Black Adam.
